The Materials Technology Group works with coating manufacturers in the development of solventless coating systems to meet market needs. ENDURA-FLEX® and the ET-2000 PROCESS are the names used by the Company for materials manufactured and sold under license by others (Vass Industries, Inc., does not sell coatings) for use with ECOSYSTEM® technology. Other manufacturer's proprietary products have also been used with ECOSYSTEM® to yield combination benefits unique to the particular proprietary product coupled with benefits derived from ECOSYSTEM®. Additional new solventless liquid materials continue to enter the market offering unique properties of added chemical resistance or other improvements for evaluation using this technology. As an example, ENDURA-FLEX® 1947 is one of the earlier solventless coatings developed and has become somewhat of a "work horse" material with case histories (still in service) dating back to 1983. The material is a coal tar extended polyurethane coating that has been used in varying thicknesses from less than one millimeter (40 mils) to in excess of 15 centimeters (six inches). Many petroleum and chemical containment linings have been produced using this material on asphalt and concrete, as well as, direct-to-earth, when incorporating the patented density control technology.
